The lens release button disappeared from my Pentax K-5 today while on a shoot. I was at a training facility for operators of bulldozers, backhoes and other big Tonka toys – essentially a giant sandbox. When I reached down to swap out the DA*50-135 F2.8 for the DA*16-50 F2.8, I noticed the button gone. And this is why you always bring a backup. I mounted the DA* 16-50 F2.8 onto the K-x and kept on going.
